Dear Friends, we are gathered today
To share and rejoice with these two.
To witness the love that they share;
And, Surrounded by you chosen few,
They will proclaim in naked oaths
The love that their hearts do declare.
Dear Friends, we are gathered herein
Where currents of loving are deep.
Tradition is a powerful thing,
For the ages to cherish and keep;
It lends us today the power of hearts
To weep and to laugh and to sing.
Dear Friends, we are gathered today
To lend them the strength of our souls
As those through the ages have done.
They're granting us this to behold:
Celebration, as they that we have so loved,
Are hereafter joined; they are one.
