Parents: can't live with 'em, can't live without their music

Arlo Guthrie
I Don't actually have anything of his, but I adore "City of New Orleans", "Comin' into Los Angeles" and of course ... "The Motorcycle Song" (also, I hear there's one about Alice).
Pink Floyd
Actually, the way my life works, I own none of their stuff on CD, but it won't much matter til my living situation changes. High on my list would be Meddle, Atom Heart Mother, and probably some other early albums. Relics would probably be worthwhile even though it's a compilation.
Frank Zappa
An interesting topic. I own and totally dig Apostrophe and Overnight Sensation. I enjoy Lumpy Gravy but would prefer it if the CD tracks were cut up a little more finely than "side 1" and "side 2". For some reason I have a hard time getting into You Are What You Is (which i also have) and i feel it fairly normal that I like 200 Motels better in theory than in prectice. I recently obtained Cheap Thrills, and am still learning about it, and I enjoy ...Meets the Mothers of Prevention, but in a fairly different way than I enjoy (') and O.S. Suggestions are welcome.
Steely Dan
Again, Life isstrange. Until a few weeks ago, I owned none. Now I have Countdown to Ecstacy. I know I want Can't Buy a Thrill, Pretzel Logic, and Katy Lied -- and maybe others, too.
More to come...
Including Mountain, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Paul Simon...
